The presence of the Dahetok Milah Lestari Foundation is an answer to social, cultural, and environmental challenges in Merauke, South Papua.
As someone who was born in Merauke, it is my moral obligation to protect and uphold the dignity, culture, and environment of Merauke.
The initiation of this foundation actually took place in 2010, but it was only realized in 2022 and received an operational permit in January 2023.
The Dahetok Milah Lestari Foundation has three main pillars, which are the spirit of the organization, namely:
1. Protection of local food security
2. Protection of the rights of indigenous people
3. Environmental Conservation
These three pillars support all activities of the Dahetok Milah Lestari Foundation, with the main aim being the welfare of the indigenous Papuan people in the South Papua region.
